Privacy Policy

Tailgate Technology builds CrewKeeper and YEStimator, mobile jobsite apps for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use them. The short version: your data lives in your iCloud, not on our servers.
Your data stays in your iCloud
CrewKeeper and YEStimator store the information you create — timesheets, projects, crew records, inspections, estimates, proposals, photos, and notes — in your own iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit. Tailgate Technology does not operate servers that collect, hold, or have access to this content.
When you share an organization with your team, that data is shared directly between your devices through Apple’s secure CloudKit sharing. We never see it.
Location
CrewKeeper uses location to log on-site arrivals and departures and to associate jobsite activity with the correct project. Location data is stored in your organization’s records in iCloud and used only for these features. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or transmitted to Tailgate Technology.
You can disable location access at any time in your device’s Settings; the affected features simply stop recording location.
Photos and signatures
Photos you attach to issues, incidents, or inspections, and signatures captured for safety records, are stored with your data in iCloud and used only inside the apps. They are not uploaded to any Tailgate Technology system.
What we don’t collect
The apps contain no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. We do not build profiles of you, and we do not sell or share personal information. Because your content lives in your iCloud rather than our servers, we have no copy of it to mine or disclose.
Diagnostics
The apps can record rare technical events — for example, that a data conflict occurred and was resolved — so we can find and fix problems. These diagnostic records describe what the app did, not who you are: they contain no names, no content from your records, and are not linked to your identity or used for any other purpose.
Subscriptions
Paid subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Tailgate Technology never receives your payment details. Apple provides us only the anonymous transaction information needed to confirm an active subscription. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID settings.
Data retention and deletion
You control your data. Deleting records in the app, or removing the app and its iCloud data, removes that information from your iCloud. Since we don’t hold a copy, there is nothing for us to separately delete.
Children
These are business tools intended for use by adults in a professional setting. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the apps evolve. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
