Email our support teamFrequently asked
- Where is my data stored?
- In your own iCloud account, through Apple’s CloudKit. Tailgate Technology does not run servers that hold your data — it stays in your iCloud and is shared with your team directly through Apple’s secure sharing.
- How do I invite my crew?
- In CrewKeeper, open your organization’s sharing settings and send an invitation. Once a teammate accepts, you approve them and assign their role — then everyone works from the same live record.
- How do subscriptions work?
- Subscriptions are handled entirely through Apple. The organization owner subscribes from inside the app; team members get access automatically. You can manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID settings.
- How do I get my reports out?
- If someone in your office is on the app, they already have them — everything your crew records syncs live to your whole organization, so an admin sees timesheets, inspections, and incident reports the moment they’re logged. No emailing PDFs around the company. And when something does need to leave the team — a customer, a GC, your records — it exports as a clean PDF you can share straight from the app.
- Does it work without cell service?
- Yes. Everything you record saves on your device first, so a dead zone on the jobsite doesn’t stop the work. When you’re back in coverage, it syncs to your team automatically — nothing to remember, nothing lost.
- Do my crew have to pay for anything?
- No. The organization owner’s subscription covers the whole team — crew members just accept the invitation and use the app. The same goes for YEStimator estimator seats: the owner adds them, the estimators just work.
- What happens when my crew grows or shrinks?
- Your plan covers up to a set number of seats, and you can add or remove members any time within that. Outgrow it and you move up a tier from inside the app; Apple prorates the difference. Shrink and you can step back down at your next renewal.
- Does CrewKeeper track my crew’s location?
- No — there’s no continuous tracking. CrewKeeper notes arrival and departure at your jobsites only, using a small zone around each project’s pin, so time records reflect being on site. Between jobsites, the app isn’t following anyone.
- How do CrewKeeper and YEStimator work together?
- They share one organization and one set of data. Win a job in YEStimator and it shows up in CrewKeeper ready for crews, timesheets, and site logs — no re-entering projects, no copying between apps. Every SiteSuite app added later joins the same shared record.
- What devices do I need?
- iPhone and iPad. CrewKeeper is built iPhone-first for the crew in the field; YEStimator works on both and really shines on iPad for takeoffs and proposals.
- Why Apple only?
- Because it’s the best foundation there is for keeping a company’s data private and in sync. SiteSuite is built on iCloud from the ground up: your records live in your own iCloud account, sync through Apple’s CloudKit, and reach your team over Apple’s own secure sharing. No third-party servers, no separate accounts or passwords to manage, nothing for anyone else to hold or lose. Your crew signs in with the Apple ID already on their phone — and it just works.
- Are SiteSuite apps available for Mac?
- Mac versions are in the works — YEStimator first, where estimating and proposals earn a big screen and a keyboard. Today the apps run on iPhone and iPad, and everything syncs through the same iCloud organization — so when the Mac apps arrive, your data will already be there waiting.
